Happy Memorial Day everyone!
I just wanted to say a big, entirely heart felt THANK YOU to all of the men, women and families who have, do and will serve this wonderful country we call home!!
Though this long weekend is one we all look forward to for the wonderful family reunions, days on the lake and extra day off work, please don’t forget that we are really celebrating the wonderful and amazing veterans and service members that keep us safe and free. It is because of their selflessness and sacrifices that we are able to enjoy the many freedoms and luxuries we do. So, while we grill out (rain or shine) and spend time with our families and friends– keep the soldiers and their families in your prayers and thoughts.
This is something so near and dear to my heart and I hope that you all feel the same!
“It is the Veteran, not the preacher, who has given us freedom of religion.
It is the veteran, not the reporter, who has given us freedom of the press.
It is the veteran, not the poet, who has given us freedom of speech.
It is the veteran, not the campus organizer, who has given us freedom to assemble.
It is the veteran, not the lawyer, who has given us the right to a fair trial.
It is the veteran, not the politician, who has given us the right to vote.”
They are the ones who have made the sacrifices required for us to have a bright future, and I am forever grateful!
